My PC is running Windows 7. Finder App finds the server. I click "Connect" and the Quick config wizard pops up in an IE9 window. I get a message "The system is being configured. Do NOT power off the server or unplug the hard drive s. Initialize the hard drive and install the firmware". I can leave this run over night and the spinning icon that shows progress never completes. Power off, remove both drives, restart - re add drives after second beep - process is the same.
If i try to manually configure, I can add userid, password etc, view the IP address, the drive info and so on - but but I go and click the "CONNECT" button - I get a message that "Quick Configuration' is running on the server - and that never completes. Thanks for any pointers.
This is what I did:- 1 Power off the Nas box 2 unplug both drives 3 Start nas without any drives in it. Wait until you hear 2 beeps.. That process approx takes hours depending on how big are the drives.. You should be good to go after this Thanks, Danny.
